Shop till you drop (an ISP)
Looking for cable Internet service?
I just did for a client of mine. Now note that Time warner just recently bought both Adelphia and Comcast Internet cable providers, but you can still at this point call each of them independantly for pricing.
I first called Adelphia and recieved a monthly price (for a special service) of $199/month or $169/month for a 2-year service agreement.
I then called Comcast and recieved a monthly price (for the same service) of $199/month or $189/month for a 2-year service agreement. And I only got the 2-year price after continuous asking for any specials on that plan.
Cable Internet service providers are NOT all the same - even if they are…

Dan, that seems awfully high. Our service — directly from TimeWarner — is less than either of those, and includes TV cable with additional movie channels, the Internet connection and digital phone.
