After 6 years of using Linux…

I’ve finally become a “registered” user of Linux.

Now, I’ve known that the number of Linux users must be getting up there, and from The Linux Counter website, I assumed I would be number 144,000-something.

Knowing that not all users register, I then assumed a 1 in 10 ratio (strickly pulled out of my tail-feathers) for a total of around 1.5 million users.

My Linux registered number is 397251, and following the above (logic?) would make the number of Linux users closer to 4 million. However, The Linux Counter website speculates that there are 29 million users.

Methinks Microsoft _m_a_y_ have a good reason to worry after all.

Since at least back in 2003, even the U.S. Navy uses Linux-powered Apple servers which is interesting in a cute way after the debacle of Windows being accused of sinking a U.S. Navy ship in 1998.
