Nextel? I REFUSE!!!
We originally ordered Nextel phone service in the late 2003.
The Nextel phone service was sub-par at best. Where our main offices are, the Nextel cell phone service was unusable. When we called Nextel to report the problem, we were told all we had to do was purchase a $10,000.00 repeater and we would be fine!
We were a 5 in-house-technician sized shop at that time. $10,000.00 to make a 5 Nextel phone service system work is a little beyond the norm, unless I’m on crack…
Then after we canceled due to the lack of Nextel cell phone and support service, we were billed for the full amount of the agreement anyway.
After a year or two of hagling, one representative told us he would take $2,000.00 off of the bill. that never happened. Then to add insult to injury, the Nextel phone company reported us to the credit companies as delinquent on our bill.
Would I ever order Nextel cell phone service for my business again?
Let me put it to you this way - NO!!!

Well, if you liked that experience, you’ll also love the company that bought PacBell. Yeah! Yeah!!
Thing is, like the old media conglomerates, the telcos are resting on their near-monopoly status to preserve not only their market share but their ability to continue really lousy customer service and customer relations because, in the past, customers didn’t have any alternatives. The mindset is so entrance that, even after all this time, they don’t seem to realize that something new is afoot.
Maybe it’s not perfect today (or maybe it is) … VOIP, anyone?
