Phishing heroes!!! Yeah!
‘Phishing’ is trying to trick an average Joe Schmoe out of his money by sending him a link to what he will think is his bank’s Internet site, but is actually a site with intention of getting his account data in an effort to steal money from him.
Netcraft is an Intenet site that, among other things, tracks Internet sites. They report on their uptime, operating system, etc.
They reported recently that there are in existance hackers (the good guys - not ‘crackers’) that are defacing Internet phishing sites - a hearty “THANK YOU!!!” to these hackers from me personally.
What is also interesting about the Netcraft article is that this is the first time an organization such as Netcraft took it’s screenshots using the Mozilla Firefox browser rather than Microsoft Internet Explorer.
