A possible new user interface?

The computer user interface is what you see when you turn on your computer and look at your monitor. In most cases, it’s the Microsoft Windows user interface. That certain set of designs and “what if I click here” settings.

From the workshop of the creator of the Macintosh project (Jef Raskin) and his son comes an attempt at a new User Interface.

The flash demo is interesting in that documents and images are embedded inside one another as needed, and the idea being that you drill down on the document covering the subject you are going after.

Seems like it’s a bit esoteric to me, but it could work…

Check it out here.

In case you miss it, you have to click first on an item to then be able to drill down and back up using your up and down arrow keys. Use your mouse pointer to center where you are going.

Cheers,
Dan
