Windows XP on the Internet…?

From a Nancy Reagan made the line “Just say ‘No!’” famous, which should be applied here with the following modification: “Without a firewall, just say ‘No!’”.

USA Today recently ran an article bemoaning the time _in minutes_ before a computer, not running a firewall, would become infected. Note the “_in minutes_” part…

“The experiment involved monitoring six ‘honeypot’ computers for two weeks…”
(Definition: A ‘honeypot’ computer is a computer built with the knowledge that it will become infected and connected in a particular way so that it will with the intention of studying the results.)

My personal viewpoint on the Windows XP firewall can be found here.

Suffice it to say, I highly suggest another firewall such as either the Pro version or even the free firewall from Zonelabs.
